In fact, after exiting my first businesses, I found myself feeling trapped by ownership despite my desire to escape it. This led me to a deeper passion: helping other entrepreneurs escape the same trap.

Lessons Learned Over the Past 5 Years

Over the past 5 years, I’ve learned a ton about scaling, selling, and buying businesses — lessons that I’ve used to relaunch Scale to Sale Consulting and Scale to Sale Podcast.

Some of the key lessons include:

  • Add-Ons: Adding new revenue streams through products or services

  • Efficiency: Learning to be lean while scaling. It’s not about adding more staff; it’s about optimizing systems and making each process more efficient.

For example, when I started with one company, we grew from $400k in Year 1 to $5.1M in sales in Year 3, ultimately landing a $5.1M sales contract.


Using Systems and Tools for Growth

In business, you don’t need expensive, high-end software to succeed. Simplicity works. That’s why I relied on systems like Go High Level CRM, Google, and QuickBooks to streamline operations and scale effectively. These tools made all the difference in scaling businesses quickly and efficiently.
